On November 10, a co-design workshop at the Netherlands Embassy in New Delhi, organised by SaS in collaboration with Delhi Street Art (DSA) and the Embassy, brought together 30+ school students and fellows from Teach For India. The event seamlessly blended creativity, education, and dialogue to address the urgency of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR).

SaS demystified the science of AMR, while participants, guided by DSA, delved into the creative process, imagining bugs, drugs, and superbugs. Facilitated by SaS, the workshop aimed to shape ideas for a poignant street art mural on AMR in New Delhi.

DSA’s active participation celebrated artistic expression while unpacking complex ideas and infusing cultural relevance into the mural. Simultaneously, collaboration with the Netherlands Embassy showcased an international perspective, emphasising the shared commitment to addressing global health challenges.

The workshop provided a platform for students and fellows to contribute actively, infusing the project with youthful enthusiasm and creativity. This participatory approach aligned with educational goals enriched the mural’s conceptualisation. The creative ideas shared by the students will be incorporated into the final street art mural, set to be painted in the capital city in the coming months, sparking public awareness and conversations around AMR.
